Donald Vaughn gets MVP of the Week award for Thailand BTL

Experienced American Donald Vaughn (195-F-1990) had a great game in the last round for Air Force and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents BTL Player of the Week award for round 9.
The 35-year old forward had a double-double of 40 points and 24 rebounds, while his team outclassed Warriors (#10, 1-9) with 63-point margin 126-63. Air Force is placed at 7th position in Thailand BTL. Air Force is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-6 record. In the team's last game Vaughn had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Air Force's top player in his first season with the team. Donald Vaughn averages this season 29.5ppg and 16.5rpg. Worth to mention Vaughn played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American guard Accheaus Fields (187-G-1997) of second-ranked Shoot it Dragons. Fields impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 35 points and 14 rebounds. Bad luck as Shoot it Dragons lost that game 82-89 to league's leader Hitech (#1, 10-0). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Shoot it Dragons still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. It was just his team's 2nd loss this season, while they won 8 other games. Fields is a newcomer at Shoot it Dragons and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.8ppg (#4). His other stats are also decent: 11.7rpg and 7.0apg.

The third best performed player last round was American Daisone Hughes (189-G-2000) of Thailand Gorillas (#9). Hughes got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for twelve rebounds and seven assists. Despite Hughes' great performance the Gorillas lost 65-89 to the higher-ranked TGE (#4, 6-4). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Th.Gorillas can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-9 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Hughes has individually a great season in Thailand. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 34.5ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 15.3rpg (3rd best) and assists with 5.3apg (9th best). He also has 4.8spg and a FGP of 51.4%. Hughes attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
