Dentmond number one in Thailand BTL for round 8

American Forward Dequandre Dentmond (203-F-1995) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Warriors Thailand, receiving a Hoops Agents BTL Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 30-year old player had a double-double of 37 points and 31 rebounds, while his team in a lost game to Banvas (#5, 4-4) 97-113. Warriors maintains the 9th position in Thailand BTL. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 7 games and recorded just one victory. In the team's last game Dentmond had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Warriors, through which he has constantly improved. Former Dillard University star has very solid stats this year. Dentmond is in league's top in points (3rd best: 26.5ppg) and averages impressive 2.1bpg and 51.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young Canadian Kareem Jackson (195-G/F-1988) of Banvas Slammers. Jackson had a very good evening with a double-double of 16 points and 26 rebounds. Of course he led Banvas to another comfortable win 113-97 over the lower-ranked Warriors (#9, 1-7) being unquestionably team leader. Banvas' 5th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a 4-4 record is not bad and everything may still change. Jackson is one of the most experienced players at Banvas and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Shaheed Davis (206-PF-1994) of Crypto Cobra Chiangrai (#3). Davis got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He went also for ten rebounds and nine assists. He was a key player of Crypto Cobra, leading his team to a 120-58 easy win against Th.Gorillas (#10, 0-8). Crypto Cobra needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 5 victories and 3 lost games. Davis has a great season in Thailand. After only 6 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.2ppg (7th best), rebounds with 13.5rpg (5th best) and assists with 5.3apg (8th best).
