TBL Round 3 (Second Stage): Tigers edge Mammoth by two points

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game of round 3 in the TBL took place in Suphan Buri. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of Mammoth (6-6) to Tigers (8-4) 82-80 in the game for the third place. Tigers outrebounded Mammoth 60-38 including a 25-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American Eric Freeman (201-1997, college: Brunswick) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Darius Austin (201-1995, college: Jackson St.) chipped in 9 points and 18 rebounds. Tigers' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Raymond Miller (204-1988, college: CS Fullerton, agency: Interperformances) who recorded a double-double by scoring 29 points and 18 rebounds. Tigers' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Bangkok to the arena Dunkin' Raptors.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Bangkok: Dunkin' Raptors (#1) and Thunders (#5). Dunkin' Raptors (12-0) crushed visiting Thunders (6-6) by 32 points 126-94. It was a good game for guard Supanat Thammakantipong who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 14 assists. Sergii Pryimak contributed with 27 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. RJ Deles answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for Thunders. Thunders' coach P. Prasarnkaew gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Dunkin' Raptors' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Bangkok Tigers.
The game in Korat supposed to be also quite interesting. Pythons (10-2) played at the court of T-REX (5-7). Pythons did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 75-55 on Wednesday. It was a great evening for Hiu Wing Ray who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was Dmytro Tykhonov with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. T-REX's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Pythons will meet at home Mammoth (#4) in the next round. T-REX will play against Thunders in Bangkok and it may be a tough game between close rivals.





Dunkin' Raptors - Thunders 126-94

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Bangkok: Dunkin' Raptors (#1) and Thunders (#5). Dunkin' Raptors (12-0) crushed visiting Thunders (6-6) by 32 points 126-94. Dunkin' Raptors made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 41 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Thunders' players. It was a good game for guard Supanat Thammakantipong who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 14 assists. Ukrainian swingman Sergii Pryimak (204-1996, agency: BIG) contributed with 27 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Four Dunkin' Raptors players scored in double figures. RJ Deles answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and Filipino point guard James Martinez (170-1987) added 28 points and 4 assists in the effort for Thunders. Thunders' coach P. Prasarnkaew gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Dunkin' Raptors' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Bangkok Tigers.
