The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Bangkok: Dunkin' Raptors (#1) and Thunders (#4). Dunkin' Raptors (9-0) crushed visiting Thunders (5-4) by 24 points 81-57. Dunkin' Raptors dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Thunders' 44. Dunkin' Raptors looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Thunders' players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Dunkin' Raptors made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was guard Peerachet Sapsudawong (178-1999) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. Ukrainian swingman Sergii Pryimak (204-1996, agency: BIG) chipped in 11 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Kelly Delahunty (198, college: Oneonta St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 17 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Undefeated Dunkin' Raptors have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain first place with 9-0 record. Thunders at the other side keep the fourth position with four games lost. They share it with T-REX and Mammoth.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Mammoth (5-4) against sixth ranked T-REX (5-4) on Sunday night. Visiting Mammoth was defeated by T-REX in a tough game in Korat 58-64. It was a good game for Ukrainian power forward Dmytro Tykhonov (207-1992, agency: BIG) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds. Oleksandr Kolchenko contributed with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. American center Raymond Miller (204-1988, college: CS Fullerton, agency: Interperformances) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 18 rebounds and 4 blocks for Mammoth. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for T-REX. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Thunders and Mammoth.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Nakhon Ratchasima. Local Wild Catz (1-8) was outscored by second ranked Pythons (8-1) 118-55 on Sunday night. Carl Snyder stepped up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Pythons' coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Joshua Saret with 21 points. The victory was the third consecutive win for Pythons. They maintain second place with 8-1 record behind leader Dunkin' Raptors. Wild Catz lost their eighth game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with eight games lost. They share it with Eagles.

In the last two games of round 9 Black Fox defeated Eagles in Similan 116-103. Tigers smashed Waves at home 144-110.




T-REX - Mammoth 64-58

Eagles - Black Fox 103-116

Everything could happen in Chiang Mai at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Black Fox and 10th ranked Eagles had identical 1-7 record. But Eagles were not able to use a home court advantage and were defeated by the opponent from Similan 116-103 on Sunday night. Black Fox forced 26 Eagles turnovers and outrebounded them 58-40 including a 25-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. Black Fox looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. RJ Deles stepped up and scored 32 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and YU Mark chipped in 13 points, 9 rebounds and 16 assists. Five Black Fox players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Ivorian Ousmane Doumbia (200-2001) with 32 points, 8 rebounds and 7 blocks and Francis Guevara scored 28 points and 5 assists. No shocking result in a game in Bangkok where third ranked Tigers (6-3) smashed 7th ranked Waves (3-6) 144-110 on Sunday. Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 90 of its points in the paint compared to Waves' 56. They outrebounded Waves 56-42 including 23 on the offensive glass. Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 40 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Waves' players.
