TBL Round 7 (Regular Season): Pythons defeat Tigers in the game between Top 4 teams

Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

An interesting game for Pythons (6-1) which hosted in Pathum Thani 3rd placed Tigers (4-3). Second ranked Pythons managed to get a 9-point victory 75-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tigers. Pythons looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Carl Snyder (207-1999, college: Mayville St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 17 rebounds and 4 assists. Julien Sergent contributed with 12 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American Eric Freeman (201-1997, college: Brunswick) answered with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 18 rebounds for Tigers. Pythons maintains second place with 6-1 record behind leader Dunkin' Raptors. Tigers at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Mammoth. Pythons are looking forward to face Thunders (#3) in Bangkok in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Tigers will play on the road against Wild Catz in Nakhon Ratchasima and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
TBL top team - Dunkin' Raptors (7-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Mammoth (4-3) in Suphan Buri 118-84. It was a great evening for guard Hiran Boateng (183-2001) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Sergii Pryimak helped adding 18 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists. Dunkin' Raptors' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Filipino forward Mark Anthony Acosta (193-1988) responded with 32 points and 7 rebounds. Undefeated Dunkin' Raptors have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-0 record. Mammoth at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Tigers. Dunkin' Raptors will play against Eagles (#9) in Chiang Mai in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mammoth will play at home against Black Fox (#8) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Similan was also quite interesting. Seventh ranked Waves (3-4) played at the court of 8th ranked Black Fox (1-6). Waves managed to secure a 5-point victory 85-80 on Wednesday. It was an exceptional evening for James Martinez who led the winners and scored 34 points (!!!) and 4 assists. YU Mark came up with 25 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for Black Fox in the defeat. Black Fox's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion moved-up to sixth place, which they share with T-REX. Black Fox lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with Eagles and Wild Catz. Waves will meet at home T-REX (#6) in the next round. Black Fox will play against Mammoth in Suphan Buri and hope to win that game.

In the last two games of round 7 Eagles were smashed by Thunders on the road 123-86. T-REX destroyed Wild Catz on its own court 164-119.
The most impressive performance of 7th round was 83 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists by Patrick Cabahug of T-REX.




Thunders - Eagles 123-86

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Thunders (5-2) crushed 9th ranked Eagles (1-6) in Bangkok 123-86 on Wednesday. Thunders dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Eagles' 48. Thunders forced 26 Eagles turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Eagles' players. It was an exceptional evening for guard Thacharin Narbonne who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 10 assists. Guard Chatchon Kamchoo (176) accounted for 26 points and 10 assists for the winning side. Four Thunders players scored in double figures. Ivorian Ousmane Doumbia (200-2001) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 12 rebounds and Francis Guevara added 24 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Eagles in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Thunders. They moved-up to third place. Eagles lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with Wild Catz and Black Fox. Thunders will meet league's second-placed Pythons in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Eagles will play against the league's leader Dunkin' Raptors (#1) in Bangkok and hope to win that game.

TBL top team - Dunkin' Raptors (7-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Mammoth (4-3) in Suphan Buri 118-84. Dunkin' Raptors dominated down low during the game scoring 86 of its points in the paint compared to Mammoth's 44. They outrebounded Mammoth 67-29 including a 24-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Dunkin' Raptors players were unselfish on offense dishing 38 assists comparing to just 19 passes made by Mammoth's players. It was a great evening for guard Hiran Boateng (183-2001) who led his team to a victory scoring 29 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Ukrainian swingman Sergii Pryimak (204-1996, agency: BIG) helped adding 18 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists. Very expected game when 10th ranked Wild Catz (1-6) was smashed by sixth ranked T-REX (3-4) in Korat 164-119 on Wednesday. T-REX forced 22 Wild Catz turnovers and outrebounded them 72-56 including 28 on the offensive glass. T-REX looked well-organized offensively handing out 44 assists comparing to just 29 passes made by Wild Catz's players. It was an exceptional evening for Filipino guard Patrick Cabahug (186) who led the winners and scored 83 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Ukrainian power forward Dmytro Tykhonov (207-1992, agency: BIG) accounted for 31 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side. T-REX's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Sean Kelly came up with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists and Filipino forward Andrian Celada (190-1988) added 29 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Wild Catz in the defeat.
