Mvuezolo number one in Thailand TBL for round 4 (by Hoops Agents)- August 8, 2023
The 27-year old player had a double-double of 31 points and 15 rebounds, while his team outclassed, Second Stage bottom-ranked team Wave (#6, 0-4) with 41-point margin 115-74. Devil Rays maintains the 2nd position in Thailand TBL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Devil Rays already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Mvuezolo had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He turned to be Devil Rays' top player in his first season with the team. Joe Mvuezolo averages just after two games 27.5ppg and 13.0rpg. The second best player in last round's games was young Ukrainian Sergii Pryimak (204-G/F-1996, agency: BIG) of league's leader SWU. Pryimak had a very good evening with 23 points and 9 rebounds. Of course he led SWU to another comfortable win 75-62 over the lower-ranked Pythons (#4, 2-2) being unquestionably team leader. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. SWU consolidated its place in the very top position of the standings. A very good start of the Second Stage for his team, which won so far all 4 games without any defeat. Pryimak is a newcomer at SWU, but is already one of team's top players. Third on the list of top players last round was Cameroonian forward Gabriel Yeumo (200-F-1988) of Tigers (#3). Yeumo showcased his all-around game by recording 10 points, seventeen rebounds (!!!) and five assists in the last round. He was a key player of Tigers, leading his team to a 94-47 easy win against T-REX (#5, 0-4). Tigers needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 2 lost games. Yeumo has a very solid season. In 13 games in Thailand he scored 10.6ppg. He also has 12.4rpg and 2.2spg.
