Johnson's double-double lands him (Second Stage) Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

29-year old point guard Taishaun Johnson (183-PG-1994) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Pythons and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3 (Second Stage).
He got a double-double of 35 points and 11 assists, while his team crushed, Second Stage bottom-ranked team Wave (#6, 0-4) with 19-point margin 115-96. Thanks to this victory Pythons moved-up to the 4th position in Thailand league. Pythons is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 2nd lost game this season out of 4 games. In the team's last game Johnson had a remarkable 52.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be Pythons' top player in his first season with the team. Taishaun Johnson averages this season 28.3ppg, 9.3rpg and 7.5apg. Worth to mention Johnson played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Morakinyo Williams (209-C-1988) of Wave. He is British center in his first season at Wave. In the last game Williams recorded impressive double-double of 41 points and 16 rebounds. Bad luck as Wave lost that game 96-115 to Pythons (2-2). The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Williams is a newcomer at Wave and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.1ppg (#4). He also registered 13.8 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to another Pythons' star - guard Zhong Han Wong (183-PG-1997). Wong showcased his all-around game by recording 29 points, six rebounds and ten assists (!!!) in the last round. He was another key player of Pythons, helping his team with a 115-96 easy win against Wave (#6, 0-4). Wong has a great season in Thailand. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.5apg (5th best).
