Sergii Pryimak gets MVP of the Week award for Thailand TBL (Second Stage)- July 31, 2023
The 27-year old swingman had the game-high 27 points adding eight rebounds and five assists for SWU in his team's victory, helping them to outclass, Second Stage bottom-ranked team Wave (#6, 0-2) with 32-point margin 134-102. It allowed SWU to jump to the first place in the Thailand TBL. But it's just the very beginning of the Second Stage and SWU won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Pryimak had a remarkable 91.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at SWU, through which he has constantly improved. Pryimak has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 16.6rpg) and averages solid 1.8bpg and 65.5% FGP. The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another SWU's star - guard Chatchon Kamchoo (176-G). Kamchoo impressed basketball fans with 23 points, 2 rebounds and 9 assists. Of course together with Pryimak he helped SWU with another comfortable win outscoring Wave (0-2) 134-102. His team has extremely good start of the Second Stage. They won both games so far. However the Second Stage is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Kamchoo is one of the most experienced players at SWU and similarly like Sergii Pryimak has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. The third best performed player last round was American Taishaun Johnson (183-PG-1994) of Pythons (#4). Johnson showcased his all-around game by recording 29 points, seven rebounds and five assists in the last round. He was a key player of Pythons, leading his team to a 97-88 win against T-REX (#5, 0-2). Johnson has a very solid season. In 2 games in Thailand he scored 28.0ppg.
