Ukrainian-Bulgarian Guard Vladislav Ungurian (190-G-1995) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked SWU, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1 (Second Stage).
The 28-year old player had a double-double of 48 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat T-REX (#5, 0-2), Second Stage bottom-ranked team 94-85. It allowed SWU to take over top position in the Thailand TBL. But it's just the very beginning of the Second Stage and SWU won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Ungurian had a remarkable 73.9% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at SWU, through which he has constantly improved. Vladislav Ungurian has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 25.0ppg) and averages impressive 70.5% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was young American Avery Scharer (185-PG-1986) of T-REX. Scharer had a very good evening with a triple-double of 21 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists. Bad luck as T-REX lost that game 85-94 to SWU (2-0). The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Scharer is one of the most experienced players at T-REX and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 23.9ppg (#9). His other stats are also decent: 9.7rpg and 12.9apg. Former Shoreline Community College star Scharer is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.
Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Taishaun Johnson (183-PG-1994) of Pythons (#4). Johnson showcased his all-around game by recording 27 points, thirteen rebounds (!!!) and ten assists (!!!) in the last round. Despite Johnson's great performance Pythons lost 91-93 to #2 ranked Devil Rays. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Johnson has a very solid season. In 2 games in Thailand he scored 28.0ppg. Johnson attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
