American point guard Taishaun Johnson (183-1994, college: PVAMU) scored 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international Moses Morgan (198-1992, college: CS Fullerton) chipped in 22 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Johnson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Devil Rays players scored in double figures. British forward Joe Mvuezolo (197-1996, college: Montana St.) responded with 26 points and 5 rebounds and forward Bhurinun Nantho (180-1997) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. TGE's coach C. Wongworachet rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

Bangkok Tigers - Hitech 55-70

Hitech dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Bangkok Tigers' 28. They outrebounded Bangkok Tigers 45-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. Hitech players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The former international power forward Chanatip Jakrawan (204-1997) notched 25 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and American forward Adam Stanford (193-1995, college: Campbellsville) supported him with 8 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Even 8 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists by Cameroonian forward Gabriel Yeumo (200-1988) did not help to save the game for Bangkok Tigers. Takamin Sirijariyaporn added 13 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
