Scharer number one in Thailand TBL for round 3 (by Hoops Agents)

American Point guard Avery Scharer (185-PG-1986) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Dunkin' Raptors, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3 (Second Stage).
The 36-year old player had a double-double of 33 points and 14 rebounds, while his team in a lost game to TGE (#3, 9-3) 84-114. Dunkin' Raptors maintains the 5th position in Thailand TBL. Dunkin' Raptors is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 7th lost game this season out of 13 games. In the team's last game Scharer had a remarkable 52.6% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Dunkin' Raptors, through which he has constantly improved. Former Shoreline Community College star has very solid stats this year. Scharer is league's best scorer averaging so far 34.7ppg. Scharer is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 15.5rpg), assists (2nd best: 7.0apg) and averages impressive 1.3bpg,3.7spg and 52.1% FGP. Worth to mention Scharer played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Taishaun Johnson (183-PG-1994) of league's second-best Devil Rays. Johnson had a very good evening with 30 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course Devil Rays cruised to a 93-82 relatively comfortable win over Bangkok Tigers (8-4). The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Johnson is one of the most experienced players at Devil Rays and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 27.0ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 6.3rpg and 5.3apg. Former Prairie View A&M University star Johnson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third on the list of top players last round was American guard Jarron Crump (183-PG-1992) of TGE (#3). Crump scored 26 points and passed nine assists. He was a key player of TGE, leading his team to a 114-84 easy win against Dunkin' Raptors (#5, 6-7). TGE needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 9 victories and 3 lost games. Crump has a great season in Thailand. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 23.2ppg (7th best) and assists with 7.4apg (best passer).
