Scharer's double-double lands him (Second Stage) Player of the Week award

36-year old point guard Avery Scharer (185-PG-1986) put on an amazing game in the last round for Dunkin' Raptors and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2 (Second Stage).
He had a double-double of 39 points and 21 rebounds, while his team crushed SWU (#6, 3-8) with 22-point margin 116-94. Thanks to this victory Dunkin' Raptors moved-up to the 5th position in Thailand league. Dunkin' Raptors is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 5th lost game this season out of 11 games. Scharer has many years of experience at Dunkin' Raptors, through which he has constantly improved. Shoreline Community College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Scharer is league's best scorer averaging so far 34.8ppg. Scharer is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 15.6rpg), assists (2nd best: 6.9apg) and averages solid 1.4bpg,3.8spg and 52.1% FGP. Worth to mention Scharer played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Moses Morgan (198-SF-1992) of league's second-best Devil Rays. He is naturalized American in his first season at Devil Rays. In the last game Morgan recorded impressive 34 points and 8 rebounds. Bad luck as Devil Rays lost that game 96-104 to Hitech (10-1). The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Morgan is one of the most experienced players at Devil Rays and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.2ppg (#6). His other stats are also decent: 11.6rpg and 3.2apg.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Gabriel Yeumo (200-F-1988) of Bangkok Tigers (#4). Yeumo showcased his all-around game by recording 23 points, thirteen rebounds (!!!) and five assists in the last round. Despite Yeumo's great performance Bangkok Tigers lost 70-88 to #3 ranked TGE. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Bangkok Tigers needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 8 victories and 3 lost games. Yeumo has a great season in Thailand. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 13.7rpg (4th best).
