Experienced American Avery Scharer (185-PG-1986) had an amazing evening in the last round for Dunkin' Raptors and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1 (Second Stage).
The 36-year old playmaker had a double-double of 51 points and fifteen rebounds, while his team lost the game against Bangkok Tigers (#4, 8-3) 79-110. Dunkin' Raptors maintains the 5th position in Thailand TBL. Dunkin' Raptors is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. But it was their 5th lost game this season out of 11 games. In the team's last game Scharer had a remarkable 67.9% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Dunkin' Raptors, through which he has constantly improved. Shoreline Community College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Scharer is league's best scorer averaging so far 34.8ppg. Scharer is in league's top in rebounds (3rd best: 15.6rpg), assists (2nd best: 6.9apg) and averages solid 1.4bpg,3.8spg and 52.1% FGP. Worth to mention Scharer played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American point guard Taishaun Johnson (183-PG-1994) of second-ranked Devil Rays. Johnson impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 29 points and 10 rebounds. Of course he led Devil Rays to another comfortable win outscoring SWU (3-8) 111-64. The Second Stage is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Johnson is one of the most experienced players at Devil Rays and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.7ppg (#3). His other stats are also decent: 6.5rpg and 5.4apg. Prairie View A&M University alumni Johnson played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

The third best performed player last round was British Joe Mvuezolo (197-F-1996) of TGE (#3). Mvuezolo got into 30-points club by scoring 34 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds . Despite Mvuezolo's great performance TGE lost 84-87 to #1 ranked Hitech. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing TGE needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 8 victories and 3 lost games. Mvuezolo has a great season in Thailand. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.3ppg (4th best). He also has 2.0bpg and FGP: 52.3%.
