T-REX - Bangkok Tigers 57-73 No shocking result in a game when second ranked Bangkok Tigers (7-1) beat bottom-ranked T-REX (0-8) in Nakhon Ratchasima 73-57 on Sunday. Bangkok Tigers forced 26 T-REX turnovers and outrebounded them 40-29 including 21 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by Takamin Sirijariyaporn who scored that evening 23 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 8 steals and Cameroonian forward Gabriel Yeumo (200-1988) supported him with 11 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Bangkok Tigers players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 14 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks by American forward Alex Smith (201-1988, college: BCU) did not help to save the game for T-REX. Patchaya Dumdon added 15 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Bangkok Tigers keep a position of league leader, which they share with Hitech and Devil Rays. Loser T-REX still closes the standings with eight games lost. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Shoot it Dragon's players. The winners were led by the former international Wattana Suttisin (183-1985) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 11 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international center Sukhdave Ghogar (194-1990) supported him with 2 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Coach Manid Niyomyindee's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mad Goat players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Polish Robert Kowalczyk (202-1995) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 28 rebounds (on 16-of-19 shooting from the field) and the former international Danai Kongkum (193-1985) who added 21 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Mad Goat's coach used entire bench in such tough game. Guard Chatchon Kamchoo (176) responded with 24 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Noppachai Thongpool (190) scored 24 points and 5 steals. Four SWU players scored in double figures. Mad Goat maintains eighth position with 2-6 record. SWU at the other side dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. Dunkin' Raptors maintains fifth position with 4-4 record. Thunders lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with five games lost. They share the position with SWU. Dunkin' Raptors will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Thunders will play against TGE (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
