Chiedoziem Okafor had a great game in the last round for Thunders and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The had the game-high 39 points adding five rebounds and four assists for Thunders in his team's victory, helping them to crush, the league's bottom-ranked team T-REX (#10, 0-5) with 23-point margin 77-54. Thunders is placed at 6th position in Thailand TBL. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost two games earlier this season. Thunders will need more victories to improve their 3-2 record. In the team's last game Okafor had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Thunders, through which he has constantly improved. Okafor has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (7th best: 24.8ppg) and averages solid 1.4bpg and 3.8spg.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American forward Adam Stanford (193-F-1995) of Hitech. Stanford impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 28 points and 13 rebounds. Bad luck as Hitech was edged by league's leader Devil Rays (#2, 4-0) 85-82. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Hitech still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. It was just his team's 1st loss this season, while they won 4 other games. Stanford is one of the most experienced players at Hitech and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
The third best performed player last round was Noppachai Thongpool (190-C/F) of SWU (#7). Thongpool scored 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was a key player of SWU, leading his team to a 86-76 win against Shoot it Dragon (#9, 0-5). The chances of SWU ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 3 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Thongpool could help SWU to bring them higher in the standings. Thongpool has a very solid season. In 5 games in Thailand he scored 13.4ppg.
