Bangkok Tigers - Thunders 80-72 Bangkok Tigers defeated Thunders at home 80-72. Bangkok Tigers forced 21 Thunders turnovers and had a 38-27 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Takamin Sirijariyaporn who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Cameroonian forward Gabriel Yeumo (200-1988) helped adding 17 points and 14 rebounds. Four Bangkok Tigers players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Kittitep Lane Dasom with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists and Chiedoziem Okafor produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Thunders will play next round against T-REX trying to get back on the winning streak. Bangkok Tigers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. It was an exceptional evening for the former international point guard Nattakarn Muangboon (180-1991) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 4 assists. American forward Adam Stanford (193-1995, college: Campbellsville) accounted for 15 points, 7 assists and 6 steals for the winning side. Hitech's coach Manid Niyomyindee felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Polish Robert Kowalczyk (202-1995) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and point guard Kittipich Krutyai added 7 points and 13 assists respectively for Mad Goat in the defeat. Hitech will play against Devil Rays in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Mad Goat will play against Dunkin' Raptors and hopes to get finally their first victory. The best player for the winners was American point guard Taishaun Johnson (183-1994, college: PVAMU) who scored 32 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 8 steals. The former international guard Jittaphon Towaroj (186-1991) chipped in 24 points and 6 rebounds. Johnson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Devil Rays players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Alex Smith (201-1988, college: BCU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and 20 rebounds and Sittichai Sedkert added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Devil Rays will meet Hitech (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. T-REX will play against Thunders (#7) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
