Scharer's double-double lands him Player of the Week award- June 28, 2022
He had a double-double of 37 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Shoot it Dragon (#9, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 90-77. Thanks to this victory Dunkin' Raptors moved-up to the 4th position in Thailand league. Dunkin' Raptors is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. Scharer just recently signed at Dunkin' Raptors and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Shoreline Community College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Scharer is in league's top in points (2nd best: 31.0ppg), rebounds (4th best: 14.0rpg), assists (6th best: 5.5apg) and averages solid 3.5spg and 50.0% from behind 3-point line. Worth to mention Scharer played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. Second best performed player last round was Moses Morgan (198-SF-1992) of league's second-best Devil Rays. He is naturalized American in his first season at Devil Rays. In the last game Morgan recorded impressive double-double of 27 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he led Devil Rays to another comfortable win outscoring Mad Goat (0-2) 102-80. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Morgan is one of the most experienced players at Devil Rays and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 28.5ppg (#4). He also registered 11.5 boards per game. Third place about best performers goes to forward Robert Kowalczyk (202-PF-1995) of Mad Goat (#8). Kowalczyk scored 23 points and grabbed eighteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Kowalczyk's great performance Mad Goat lost 80-102 to Devil Rays (#2, 2-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Mad Goat can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. Kowalczyk has individually a great season in Thailand. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.0rpg (6th best). Other top performing players last week: 4.
