TBL Round 11: Derby game ends with Hitech's defeat of Bangkok Tigers

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Bangkok: Hitech (#2) and Bangkok Tigers (#3). Bangkok Tigers were crushed at home by 19 points 53-72 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Hitech dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Bangkok Tigers' 22. Hitech forced 20 Bangkok Tigers turnovers and outrebounded them 45-23 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The former international Wattana Suttisin (183-85) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Chatpon Chuengyampin (192) contributed with 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Thakamin Sirichariyaphon answered with 15 points for Bangkok Tigers. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains second place with 9-4 record having just two points less than leader TGE, which they share with defeated Bangkok Tigers. Bangkok Tigers lost fourth consecutive game. Hitech is looking forward to face league's leader TGE in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bangkok Tigers will have a break next round.

Dunkin' Raptors maintains fourth place with 8-5 record. Defending champion Hitech keeps the second position with four games lost. They share it with Bangkok Tigers. Dunkin' Raptors will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. No shocking result in a game when first ranked TGE (11-2) beat at home 6th ranked Shoot it Dragon (6-7) 76-67 on Wednesday. TGE looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was an exceptional evening for guard Manatsawe Booddoung (176) who led the winners and scored 11 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Guard Manatkawin Booddoung (177) accounted for 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. The former international guard Sorot Sunthonsiri (186-93) came up with 7 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists and the former international Tawatchai Suktub (186-87) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Shoot it Dragon in the defeat. It was an exceptional evening for point guard Hiran Boateng (172-1) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 8 rebounds and 12 assists. Nattapat Biasamrit accounted for 25 points for the winning side. The former international guard Sorot Sunthonsiri (186-93) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Bundit Janthong (174) added 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Shoot it Dragon in the defeat. Four Shoot it Dragon players scored in double figures. Shoot it Dragon's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
