Avery Scharer's triple-double lands him Player of the Week award

Experienced American Avery Scharer (185-PG-86) put on an amazing game in the last round for Raptors and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 7.
The 33-year old playmaker recorded a triple-double of 45 points adding also ten rebounds and twenty two assists, while his team outclassed Kabayan (#7, 2-4) with 50-point margin 153-103. Raptors maintains the 4th position in Thailand TBSL. They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Raptors will need more victories to improve their 4-2 record. In the team's last game Scharer had a remarkable 80.8% from 2-point range. He turned to be Raptors' top player in his first season with the team. Shoreline Community College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Scharer is in league's top in points (2nd best: 28.2ppg), assists (2nd best: 11.2apg) and averages solid 5.0spg and 65.7% FGP. Worth to mention Scharer played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 22-year old Serbian center Pavle Cvetinovic (215-C-97) of Pegasus. Cvetinovic impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 25 points and 34 rebounds. Bad luck as Pegasus lost that game 122-146 to slightly higher-ranked ZNO Eagles (#9, 1-5). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Pegasus dropped in the standings to very bottom position. 6 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Cvetinovic is one of the most experienced players at Pegasus and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another Raptors' star - American Reginald Johnson (208-C-89). Johnson showcased his all-around game by recording 28 points, twenty three rebounds (!!!) and eleven assists (!!!) in the last round. He was another key player of Raptors, helping his team with a 153-103 easy win against the lower-ranked Kabayan (#7, 2-4). Raptors needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 2 lost games. Johnson has a great season in Thailand. After only 5 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 29.4ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 22.0rpg (#1 in league) and assists with 7.6apg (3rd best).
