Avery Scharer gets MVP of the Week award for Thailand TBSL (by Interperformances)

Experienced American Avery Scharer (185-PG-86) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Raptors and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 33-year old playmaker got a double-double of 37 points and fourteen assists, while his team outclassed MUBC (#5, 2-2) with 35-point margin 105-70. Raptors maintains the 2nd position in Thailand TBSL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Raptors already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. Scharer turned to be Raptors' top player in his first season with the team. Shoreline Community College graduate has very impressive stats this year. Scharer is in league's top in points (3rd best: 26.0ppg) and averages solid 6.0spg and 61.8% FGP. Worth to mention Scharer played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Raptors' star - 30-year old American center Reginald Johnson (208-C-89). Johnson impressed basketball fans with a triple-double of 26 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists. Of course together with Scharer he helped Raptors with another comfortable win outscoring MUBC (2-2) 105-70. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 3 games without any defeat. Johnson is one of the most experienced players at Raptors and similarly like Avery Scharer has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 29.0ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 22.3rpg and 7.7apg.

The third best performed player last round was Filipino Christopher Ellis (192-F) of Luang (#3). Ellis got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for seven rebounds . He was a key player of Luang, leading his team to a 92-42 easy win against Pegasus (#9, 0-4). Luang needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost game. Ellis has a great season in Thailand. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 28.0ppg (2nd best).
