Johnson's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

30-year old center Reginald Johnson (208-C-89) had an amazing evening in the last round for Raptors and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 1.
He had a double-double of 25 points and 23 rebounds, while his team beat Matrix (#8, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 80-67. Raptors is placed at 3rd position in Thailand league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Raptors won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Johnson had a remarkable 64.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Raptors and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. University of Miami graduate has very impressive stats this year. Johnson is league's best scorer averaging so far 30.5ppg and leads league in rebounds with 25.5rpg. Johnson is in league's top in assists (6th best: 6.0apg) and averages solid 2.5spg and 70.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Christopher Ellis (192-F) of Luang. He is Filipino forward in his first season at Luang. In the last game Ellis recorded impressive 32 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Luang was edged by Adroit (1-1) 67-66. The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Ellis is a newcomer at Luang and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 27.0ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 8.5rpg and 5.5apg.

Third place about best performers goes to Vincent Cilia Corey of MUBC (#4). Corey scored 26 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Despite Corey's great performance MUBC lost 67-71 to #1 ranked BBM CLS. But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing MUBC needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 1 victory and 1 lost game. Corey has a great season in Thailand. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.5ppg (6th best).
