There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in SBL. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

SBL round 11 caused change at the leadership position. Eighth defeat of league's leader Bank of Taiwan (17-8) against fourth ranked Taiwan Beer (10-15) 90-80 was the most important game of the last round. Taiwan Beer outrebounded Bank of Taiwan 42-28 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. 29 personal fouls committed by Bank of Taiwan helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Gerard Tarin (205-1996, college: Nova SE) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Chieh-Min Lu (184-1995) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Guard Chia-Wei Chien (183-1998) answered with 16 points for Bank of Taiwan. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Taiwan Beer maintains fourth place with 10-15 record. Bank of Taiwan at the other side dropped to the second position with eight games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Yulon Luxgen. Bank of Taiwan will play next round against strong Keelung BK trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Taiwan Beer will try to continue on its current victory against first ranked Yulon Luxgen on the road.

Vincentian forward Brendon Smart (198-1995) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 17 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Yulon Luxgen (18-7) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. As mentioned above they took over a top position. Taiwan Beer at the other side keeps the fourth place with 15 games lost. Taiwan Beer will play next round against strong Keelung BK trying to get back on the winning streak. Yulon Luxgen will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Taiwan Beer at Taipei.

Chieh-Yu Han came up with 14 points and 6 rebounds for Bank of Taiwan in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Yulon Luxgen. They keep a position of league leader. Loser Bank of Taiwan dropped to the second place with eight games lost. Yulon Luxgen will meet Taiwan Beer (#4) in the next round. Bank of Taiwan will play against Keelung BK and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 11: Yulon Luxgen smashed Keelung BK 79-60. Bottom-ranked Changhua lost to Keelung BK 77-87. Taiwan Beer managed to outperform Changhua 80-65.




Taiwan Beer - Bank of Taiwan 90-80

Keelung BK - Yulon Luxgen 60-79

The game between closely ranked teams ended with second ranked Yulon Luxgen's (18-7) victory over 3rd placed Keelung BK (12-12) 79-60 on Friday. It was an exceptional evening for American Brandon Moss (204-1994, college: LSUA) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 19 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Yi-Kang Tung Fang (182-1997) accounted for 16 points for the winning side. Four Yulon Luxgen players scored in double figures. Yulon Luxgen - Taiwan Beer 77-68

Changhua - Keelung BK 77-87

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Changhua (5-20) lost to third ranked Keelung BK (12-12) 77-87 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for American center Wendell Lewis (204-1989, college: Alabama St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. The former international guard Kai-Hsiang Hu (190-1991) accounted for 14 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side. Four Keelung BK players scored in double figures. American-Filipino forward Nicholas Evans (210-1988, college: S.Indiana, agency: Interperformances) came up with 35 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and guard Tien-You Yang (170-1993) added 18 points and 7 assists respectively for Changhua in the defeat. Changhua's coach Chun-Hsiung Wu rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Keelung BK maintains third place with 12-12 record having seven points less than leader Yulon Luxgen. Changhua lost their twelfth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 20 games lost. Keelung BK will meet league's second-placed Bank of Taiwan in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Changhua will play against the league's leader Yulon Luxgen and hope to secure a win.
