WSBL Round 24 (Regular Season): Chunghua T. beat Taipower in the most crucial game of the week

The Regular Season in WSBL is slowly approaching the end. But there may be still some important changes in the final standings in the last 3 rounds. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

An exciting game was when Second ranked Chunghwa Telecom faced 4th ranked Power. Chunghwa Telecom (12-12) defeated Power (5-19) 66-52. Chunghua T. dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Power's 20. Chunghua T. outrebounded Taipower 47-27 including a 18-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American forward Oshlynn Brown (185, college: Rutgers) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. The former international power forward Hsiang-Ting Huang (180-1993) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds. Chunghwa Telecom's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Qin-Yu Huang (168) who recorded 9 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Chunghua T. maintains second position with 12-12 record having ten points less than leader Cathay Life. Taipower lost eleventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 19 games lost. Chunghua T. are looking forward to face league's leader Cathay Life in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taipower will play against Taiyuan T. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

It was a good game for guard Chiao-Chun Huang (171-2001) who led her team to a victory with 22 points. Yu-Wen Hsiao contributed with 11 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Center Wei-Qing Liao (180) replied with 17 points and 8 rebounds for Taiyuan T.Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tigers have an impressive 18-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 22-2 record. Taiyuan T. at the other side keeps the third place with 15 games lost. Cathay Life will play against league's second-placed Chunghua T. in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Taiyuan T. will play against Taipower and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
