The game between third ranked DEA (11-10) and sixth ranked Mars (8-10) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. DEA was defeated by Mars in a tough game 104-112. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of DEA. Taipei TM made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a great evening for Kenyan-South Sudanese power forward Makur Maker (212-2000, college: Howard) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists (went 14 for 14 at the free throw line !!!). American Stanton Kidd (202-1992, college: Colorado St., agency: JCK Sports Group) helped adding 27 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was Montenegrin forward Marko Todorovic (208-1992) with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 11 rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Jayden Gardner (201-2000, college: Virginia, agency: MSG) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. Femi Olujobi accounted for 10 points and 14 rebounds. American power forward Drew Pember (211-2000, college: UNC Asheville) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds for Lioneers in the defeat. Lioneers' coach Wesam Al-Sous tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Defending champion maintains fifth place with 9-11 record. Lioneers at the other side keep the second position with eight games lost. Kings will play against higher ranked Dreamers (#4) in Changhua in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Lioneers will play on the road against the league's leader Taiwan Beer L. in Taoyuan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
