WSBL Round 4 (Regular Season): Taiyuan T. beat Chunghua T. by two after a very close game

There were just four rounds played in Regular Season of WSBL and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places. Here is the last round review presented by LBM Management.

The most exciting game of round 4 in the WSBL ended with only two-point defeat of much higher ranked Chunghwa Telecom (1-3) to fourth ranked Taiyuan Textile (2-2) 55-53 in the game for the second place. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Chunghwa Telecom. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Emily Maupin (192-1999, college: Virginia) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds. The former international forward Ching Zhuo (172-1997) contributed with 10 points for the winners. American forward Oshlynn Brown (185, college: Rutgers) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds for Chunghua T.Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Taiyuan T. moved-up to second place. Chunghua T. at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost. They share it with Taipower. Taiyuan T. are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Taipower (#4) in the next round. Chunghua T. will play against the league's leader Cathay Life and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
An interesting game for Tigers (4-0) which played against 3rd ranked Power (1-3). Top-ranked Tigers managed to get a 7-point victory 63-56. Worth to mention a great performance of center Yu-Wen Hsiao (184-2005) who helped to win the game recording 8 points and 13 rebounds and I-Hsiu Cheng who added 6 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side guard Yi-Ting Dai (175-1995) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tigers have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 4-0 record. Taipower at the other side dropped to the bottom place with three games lost. They share the position with Chunghua T.. Cathay Life will play against Chunghua T. (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Taipower will play against the league's second-placed Taiyuan T. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

An interesting game for Tigers (4-0) which played against 3rd ranked Power (1-3). Top-ranked Tigers managed to get a 7-point victory 63-56. Cathay Life forced 22 Taipower turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of center Yu-Wen Hsiao (184-2005) who helped to win the game recording 8 points and 13 rebounds and the former international I-Hsiu Cheng (178-1993) who added 6 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side guard Yi-Ting Dai (175-1995) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Rui-Zhen Song (160) scored 10 points and 6 assists.
