The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Leopards (10-4) against fourth ranked Lioneers on Wednesday night. Lioneers were defeated by fourth ranked Lioneers (7-7) 98-82. Lioneers forced 19 Taiwan Beer L. turnovers. Strangely Taiwan Beer L. outrebounded Lioneers 53-41 including 39 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Taiwan Beer L.'s players. American power forward Drew Pember (211-2000, college: UNC Asheville) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 12 rebounds. His fellow American import TJ Holyfield (203-1995, college: Texas Tech) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American forward Malcolm Miller (201-1993, college: Holy Cross) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for Taiwan Beer L.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Lioneers moved-up to third place. Taiwan Beer L. lost third consecutive game. They still keep top position with four games lost. Lioneers are looking forward to face league's second-placed N.Taipei CTBC on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. An interesting game for Dreamers (7-8) which played against their close opponent Taipei TM (6-6). Third ranked Dreamers managed to get a 10-point victory 108-98. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Taipei TM. It was a great evening for American power forward Aric Holman (208-1997, college: MSU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 20 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Yu-An Chiang helped adding 17 points and 8 assists. Cypriot-American center Darral Willis (206-1996, college: Wichita St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 17 rebounds and 4 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Despite that victory Dreamers went down to fourth position due to points difference, which they share with Kings. Taipei TM at the other side dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. Dreamers will play against league's second-placed N.Taipei CTBC on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Taipei TM will have a break next round.

It was an exceptional evening for Marko Todorovic who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 19 rebounds and 9 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). Aric Holman came up with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for Dreamers in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. N.Taipei CTBC maintains second place with 8-6 record having just two points less than leader Taiwan Beer L. Loser Dreamers dropped to the fourth position with eight games lost. They share it with Kings. N.Taipei CTBC will meet Lioneers (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Dreamers will play again against the league's second-placed N.Taipei CTBC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
