TPBL Round 1 (Regular Season): Dreamers lose to Kings

The Regular Season in TPBL just started. Host teams show no mercy winning all games. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The biggest surprise of round 1 in TPBL took place when Kings crushed Dreamers 112-93 on Sunday evening. Kings dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Dreamers' 42. Kings forced 26 Dreamers turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American forward Jayden Gardner (201-2000, college: Virginia, agency: MSG) fired 25 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. chipped in 15 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). American power forward Aric Holman (208-1997, college: MSU) produced a double-double by scoring 32 points and 16 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dreamers will play next round against Taiwan Beer L. trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Kings will try to continue on its current victory against Taipei TM. It will be extra interesting game as Taipei TM is their local rival from Taipei.

Sani Sakakini contributed with 15 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Kings' coach John Patrick allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Justin James (201-1997, college: Wyoming) answered with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists for Kaohsiung A.Aquas will play next round against Dreamers trying to get back on the winning streak. Kings defeated Aquas in Taipei 110-100. Kings forced 19 Kaohsiung A. turnovers and had a 23-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Kings players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Kaohsiung A. was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch.
