The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Taiyuan Textile (21-3) against second ranked Cathay Life on Sunday night. Cathay Life were rolled over by second ranked Cathay Life (19-5) 84-65. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Taiyuan Textile. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Cathay Life looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The former international point guard Ping Luo (168-1996) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Australian center Cayla George (193-1989) contributed with 17 points for the winners. The former international center Wen-Yu Lin (180-1995) replied with 22 points and 6 rebounds for Taiyuan T.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. However their fans expected easier game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Jia-Xuan Zhang (178) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 9 rebounds and Yu-Ling Liang who added 16 points and 5 assists during the contest. Chunghwa Telecom's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Qin-Yu Huang responded with 23 points and 6 steals. Chunghua T. maintains third position with 8-16 record having thirteen points less than leader Taiyuan T. Taipower at the other side still closes the standings.

They outrebounded Taipower 52-25 including a 37-20 advantage in defensive rebounds.
