T1 League Round 19 (Regular Season): Taiwan Beer L. keep a leadership position

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Leopards as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Leopards smashed 3rd placed Aquas in Taoyuan 117-78. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Aquas. Taiwan Beer L. dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Aquas's 36 and made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Taiwan Beer L. forced 19 Kaohsiung A. turnovers and outrebounded them 50-37 including a 39-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Taiwan Beer L. looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Liberian Lasan Kromah (198-1991, college: UConn) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. American center Devin Williams (206-1994, college: WVU) contributed with 19 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Lithuanian center Mindaugas Kupsas (216-1991, agency: BIG) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds for Kaohsiung A.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Leopards (16-9) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Kaohsiung A. at the other side keeps the third place with 11 games lost. Kaohsiung A. will play next round against Tainan trying to get back on the winning streak. It was an exceptional evening for American-Liberian Lasan Kromah (198-1991, college: UConn) who led the winners and scored 44 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 4 assists. American center Devin Williams (206-1994, college: WVU) accounted for 23 points and 19 rebounds for the winning side. Lithuanian center Egidijus Mockevicius (208-1992, college: Evansville) came up with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and Croatian Domagoj Vukovic (208-1993) added 21 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for Tainan in the defeat.
