The game had a very big importance for second-rankedLeopards as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Leopards smashed 3rd placed Aquas in Taoyuan 117-78 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Aquas. Taiwan Beer L. dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Aquas 's 36 and made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Taiwan Beer L. forced 19 Kaohsiung A. turnovers and outrebounded them 50-37 including a 39-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Taiwan Beer L. looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Liberian Lasan Kromah (198-1991, college: UConn) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. American center Devin Williams (206-1994, college: WVU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Five Leopards players scored in double figures. Lithuanian center Mindaugas Kupsas (216-1991, agency: BIG) answered with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds and American point guard Shannon Scott (191-1992, college: Ohio St., agency: Slash Sports) added 7 points, 6 rebounds, 12 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Kaohsiung A.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Leopards (16-9) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Kaohsiung A. at the other side keeps the third place with 11 games lost.
