Yulon Luxgen - Bank of Taiwan 68-79 An exciting game was when First ranked Bank of Taiwan faced 3rd placed Yulon Luxgen. Bank of Taiwan (23-8) defeated Yulon Luxgen (17-13) 79-68. Bank of Taiwan forced 20 Yulon Luxgen turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Yulon Luxgen's players. American swingman Zak Irvin (198-1994, college: Michigan) fired 19 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners. His fellow American import power forward Ishmael Lane (203-1997, college: NSU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. Bank of Taiwan's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pu Xia produced a double-double by scoring 20 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and American power forward Torren Jones (206-1994, college: William Penn) added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Bank of Taiwan maintains first place with 23-8 record. Yulon Luxgen at the other side keeps the third position with 13 games lost. Bank of Taiwan are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Pauian (#5) in the next round. Yulon Luxgen will play against Jeoutai and it may be a tough game between close rivals. Taiwan Beer outrebounded Pauian 43-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American swingman Kentrell Barkley (195-1996, college: ECU, agency: Haylett Sports) stepped up and scored 19 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and Canadian power forward Keanau Post (210-1992, college: Missouri) chipped in 7 points and 13 rebounds. At the losing side forward Zhuang You (190-1995) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Dashaun Wiggins (188-1991, college: Portland St.) scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Taiwan Beer maintains second place with 20-11 record having just three points less than leader Bank of Taiwan. Loser Pauian stay dead last with 26 lost games. Taiwan Beer will meet Jeoutai (#4) in the next round. Pauian will play against the league's leader Bank of Taiwan and hope to secure a win. Bank of Taiwan (23-8) defeated Taiwan Beer (20-11) 71-66. Bank of Taiwan made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Taiwan Beer outrebounded Bank of Taiwan 56-38 including a 25-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Zak Irvin (198-1994, college: Michigan) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. His fellow American import power forward Ishmael Lane (203-1997, college: NSU) contributed with 11 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Bank of Taiwan's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Bank of Taiwan outrebounded Jeoutai 45-32 including a 37-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The former international Wei-Chen Chou (188-1996) stepped up and scored 12 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and American power forward Ishmael Lane (203-1997, college: NSU) chipped in 11 points and 12 rebounds. At the losing side guard Zong-Lin Lu (175-1993) responded with 14 points and 5 rebounds and forward Guanting Lu (197-1992) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds.
