Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of top-ranked Taiwan Beer (15-4) against third ranked Jeoutai on Saturday night. Jeoutai were defeated by Jeoutai 78-70. Jeoutai shot 22 for 32 from the free-throw line, while Taiwan Beer only scored three points from the stripe. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Taiwan Beer helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American power forward Jalen Robinson (206-1993, college: Dalton St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists. Canadian-American swingman Nicholas Wiggins (198-1991, college: Z*Orangeville A's) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Kentrell Barkley (195-1996, college: ECU, agency: Haylett Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for Taiwan Beer. Despite that victory Jeoutai went down to fourth position due to points difference. Taiwan Beer at the other side still keeps top place with four games lost. Jeoutai are again looking forward to face league's leader Taiwan Beer in Taipei in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Taiwan Beer will play against the league's second-placed Bank of Taiwan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Very important is a loss of third ranked Jeoutai (8-11) against fourth ranked Yulon Luxgen (8-10) on Sunday night. Jeoutai was defeated by Yulon Luxgen 88-77. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Torren Jones (206-1994, college: William Penn) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists and Ba Ban who added 27 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. American power forward Jalen Robinson (206-1993, college: Dalton St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 14 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Yulon Luxgen moved-up to third place. Jeoutai at the other side dropped to the fourth position with 11 games lost. Yulon Luxgen will play against bottom-ranked Pauian (#5) in the next round. Jeoutai will play against the league's leader Taiwan Beer and hopes to get back on the winning track.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 8: bottom-ranked Pauian was beaten by Yulon Luxgen 81-65. Bottom-ranked Pauian was destroyed by Bank of Taiwan 52-80. Taiwan Beer was outscored by Bank of Taiwan 97-74.



Yulon Luxgen - Pauian 81-65

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Yulon Luxgen's (8-10) victory over bottom-ranked Pauian (1-16) 81-65 on Thursday. Yulon Luxgen looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The winners were led by American power forward Torren Jones (206-1994, college: William Penn) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds and forward Ba Ban (203-1997) supported him with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Even 24 points and 9 rebounds by American guard Dashaun Wiggins (188-1991, college: Portland St.) did not help to save the game for Pauian. Forward Mo-Fan Lee (193-1997) added 7 points and 11 rebounds for Yulon Luxgen. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Yulon Luxgen moved-up to third place. Pauian lost tenth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Yulon Luxgen will again meet bottom-ranked Pauian (#5) in the next round. Pauian will play against Jeoutai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Bank of Taiwan dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Pauian's 24. Bank of Taiwan forced 30 Pauian turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The winners were led by American power forward Ishmael Lane (203-1997, college: NSU) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and the other American import swingman Zak Irvin (198-1994, college: Michigan) supported him with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Even 22 points and 8 rebounds by American guard Dashaun Wiggins (188-1991, college: Portland St.) did not help to save the game for Pauian.
