Defending champion Al Wahda Damascus (SBL) added 31-year-old American forward Kevin Mickle to their roster for the 2024-25 season. Mickle, who also holds a Guyanese passport, played for Deba in the Saudi Arabian SBL league last season, where he was the league's third-best scorer with 27.7ppg and had 11.9rpg, 2.6apg, and 1.4spg in 11 games. He was named League Player of the Week twice. Mickle is the second foreign player on the team, joining USA's Josh Nicholas. He also previously played for Al Ahli Sports Club Doha in the Qatari league.
He is a very experienced player. Thanks to Mickle's pro career, he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, and of course North America) in eight different countries. Mickle has played professionally in Germany (Eagles), Jordan (Al Jubaiha), Puerto Rico (Criollos), Qatar, Spain (Cornella), Switzerland (Nyon), and The Basketball Tournament (Ohio 1804).
He has won many awards during his career, including the A-Sun Regular Season in 2017. In 2019, he was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-German 2.Bundesliga Pro B Honorable Mention team.
Mickle graduated from Ohio University in 2018 and it'll be his seventh season as a pro player. He played for other colleges such as Florida Gulf Coast University, Broward College, Central Connecticut State University.
