Aslanian comes back to Al Thawra

Al Thawra Damascus (D1) added to their roster 23-year old Syrian-Armenian ex-international power forward Anna Aslanian (180cm-2001). It is actually her comeback to Damascus as she has played here before. She played most recently at Al Ittihad in the D1. The last season she played at another Syrian team Al Thawra Damascus.
She was also a member of the Syrian international program for some years. Aslanian played for Syrian Senior National Team in 2021 and previously for the Under 18 National Team in 2018.
She represented Syria at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) U16 Division C in Gibraltar seven years ago. She was the best scorer at the tournament with over 17 points per game, while she helped her team to win Gold.
Aslanian has played previously in Armenia (Les Foxes). She played in the final of the Syrian League in 2023.
