Al Wahda lands Steven Davis, ex Prishtina

Steven Davis

Defending champion Al Wahda Damascus (SBL) signed 30-year-old American 203cm power forward Steven Davis (college: Wright State). He began the season with Sigal Prishtina in Kosovan Superliga, averaging 11.8ppg, 3.8rpg, and 1.7apg in 12 games. Davis also played 3 games in the Balkan League, where he posted 11.3ppg, 4.3rpg, and 2.7apg.
Part of last season he spent at Sportinvest Trapani Sharks (Serie A) in the Italian league. The other team he played for shortly was another Italian team, Fortitudo (Serie A) in the Italian league.
He is a very experienced player, having played professionally in Hungary (Kormend), Italy (Biella), Slovakia (Levice), and Sweden (BC Lulea).
His team was the regular season runner-up in the Swedish Basketligan in 2020, and he was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-Alpe Adria Cup Honorable Mention in 2019.
He graduated from Wright State in 2017 and it's his seventh season in pro basketball.
