SBL Round 14 (Regular Season): Al Wahda defeat Al Nawaeer

The most crucial game of the last round was another loss of Al Nawaeer (9-5) in Hama on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Al Wahda (9-5) 87-79. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Al Wahda have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with defeated Al Nawaeer.
Important game to mention about took place in Aleppo. Seventh ranked Al Hurriyeh (5-7) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Al Ittihad (7-6) 83-80 on Sunday evening. Al Hurriyeh maintains seventh position with 5-7 record. Al Ittihad at the other side keeps the fifth place with six games lost.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Homs: Al Karameh (#4) and Al Wathba (#8). Al Wathba was defeated at home 77-87 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Al Karameh (8-5) moved-up to third place. Loser Al Wathba still closes the standings with 12 games lost.
