Al Wahda adds Thomas to their roster, ex Al Naft

Defending champion Al Wahda Damascus (SBL) has signed 30-year-old American guard Cleveland Thomas (192cm-88kg-1993, college: WKU, agency: Slash Sports) to their roster. Thomas recently played for Al Naft in the Iraqi Superleague, where he recorded 6 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist in just one game this season. He has also played for Pazi in the Tanzanian league.
He's a highly experienced player, having played in twelve different countries across five continents. He's had a taste of the professional basketball life in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa, and North America. Some of the countries he has played professionally in include Germany, Greece (Apollon Patras), Hungary (Duna Aszfalt), Italy (Cantu), Lebanon (Beirut Club), Mexico (Dorados), Saudi Arabia (Al Fateh), Slovenia (Zlatorog), Libya (Ahly Benghazi), Rwanda (Rwanda Energy Group Kigali), and The Basketball Tournament (The Enchantment).
He won the Rwandan League championship title in 2022 and was voted to the Rwandan All-Star Game in the same year.
He graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2017 and this is his seventh season as a pro player. He also played for the University of New Mexico for 2 years.
