Al Thawra sign DAsia-Chamber ex Jaguares

Al Thawra Damascus (D1) has signed 31-year-old American swingman D'Asia Chambers, who stands at 182cm tall and played college basketball at Slippery Rock. Chambers will join fellow American player Chelsey Shumpert on the team's roster. Chambers most recently played for Jaguares in the Nicaraguan LSBF, where she had an impressive season, averaging 20.9ppg, 7.6rpg, 5.0apg, and 2.8spg in 16 games. She helped Jaguares finish as the second-best team in the league and advance to the league semifinals. Chambers received several accolades for her performance, including being named the Latinbasket.com All-Nicaraguan LSBF Import Player of the Year, Guard of the Year, and League Player of the Week twice. Prior to joining Jaguares, Chambers also had a pre-season stint with Freseras in the Mexican LNBPF.
She has played professionally in Australia (Tornadoes), Finland (Kouvottaret), Germany (Rotenburg/Scheessel and Bad Aibling), Kosovo (Bashkimi), Luxembourg (Musel Pikes), Mexico, Egypt (Sporting), and Czech Republic (Ostrava). She is familiar with European, Latin American, Australian, African, and North American leagues.
She has a wealth of experience playing basketball professionally in various countries and continents. She has played in Australia for the Tornadoes, Finland for Kouvottaret, Germany for Rotenburg/Scheessel and Bad Aibling, Kosovo for Bashkimi, Luxembourg for Musel Pikes, Mexico, Egypt for Sporting, and Czech Republic for Ostrava.
