SBL Round 4 (Regular Season): Al Hurriyeh Aleppo edge Al Wathba Homs by two points

There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in SBL. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game of round 4 in the SBL took place in Homs. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of bottom-ranked Al Wathba (0-4) to fourth ranked Al Hurriyeh (2-1) 74-72 on Thursday evening. Al Hurriyeh moved-up to second place, which they share with Al Ittihad and Al Jalaa. Al Wathba at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Al Hurriyeh is looking forward to face league's leader Al Wahda in Damascus in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Al Wathba will play on the road against Al Nawaeer (#5) in Hama and hopes to get finally their first victory.
Important game to mention about took place in Homs. Seventh ranked Al Nawaeer (2-2) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Al Karameh (1-2) 71-68 in the game for the fifth place. Al Nawaeer moved-up to fifth place. Al Karameh at the other side dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. Al Nawaeer will play against bottom-ranked Al Wathba (#8) in Homs in the next round. Al Karameh will play on the road against Al Jalaa in Aleppo and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Damascus: Al Wahda (#1) and Al Jaish (#6). Al Wahda (4-0) won against visiting Al Jaish (1-3) 79-65. Al Wahda have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 4-0 record. Loser Al Jaish dropped to the seventh place with three games lost. Al Wahda will meet league's second-placed Al Hurriyeh in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Al Jaish will play against Al Ittihad (#3) and hope to win that game.





Al Wathba - Al Hurriyeh 72-74
