Al Hurriyeh signs Andrey Semenov

Andrey Semenov

Al Hurriyeh Aleppo (SBL) signed 33-year old Russian forward Andrey Semenov (200cm-92kg-1990, college: JMU). He is the second foreign player in the roster as USA BJ Maxwell signed here earlier.
He played last season at Al Adalah in Saudi Arabian Division 1. In 21 SBL games he had very impressive stats: 23.4ppg, 12.6rpg (#5 in the league), 2.7apg and 1.2spg. 2022-23 was a great season as he was named to Asia-Basket.com All-Saudi Arabian SBL Honorable Mention.
He was a member of Russian U18 National Team back in 2008.
He has played previously professionally in Russia (Spartak, Avtodor, Novosybirsk, Ryazan and Burevestnik).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he played in the final of Russian Superleague 1 in 2021. He was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Russian Superleague 2 Forward of the Year back in 2019.
He graduated from James Madison University in 2014 and it will be his tenth season as a professional player.
