Al Hurriyeh inks BJ Maxwell, ex Cherkasy

BJ Maxwell

Al Hurriyeh Aleppo (SBL) agreed terms with 26-year old American shooting guard BJ Maxwell (194cm-91kg-1997, college: IUPUI). He was best passer at SK Cherkasy Monkeys in Ukrainian Superleague last season where in 19 games he was league's second best scorer with impressive 20.1ppg and averaged 6.5rpg, 4.6apg (top 5) and 1.8spg. 2022-23 was a great season as he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Ukrainian Superleague Import Player of the Year and named to Eurobasket.com All-Ukrainian Superleague Second Team.
He has played previously professionally also in Azerbaijan (Neftci).
He played in the final of LSC Tournament in 2021.
He graduated from Indiana Univ-Purdue Univ-Indianapolis in 2022 and it will be his second season as a professional player. He played for other colleges like: St. Edward's University, University of Detroit Mercy, Abilene Christian University.
