Top ranked Al Ittihad (14-3) recorded its third loss in Aleppo on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Al Wahda (12-3) 68-56. Al Wahda have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They maintain third place with 12-3 record having 2 victories less than leader Al Ittihad. Defending champion Al Ittihad still keeps top position with three games lost. Al Wahda are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Al Taleiah (#11) in Hama in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al Ittihad's supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Aleppo to the arena Al Hurriyeh.
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Aleppo: Al Jalaa (#6) and Al Hurriyeh (#7). Al Jalaa (11-5) won against visiting Al Hurriyeh (6-11) 70-64. Al Jalaa moved-up to fifth place. Al Hurriyeh at the other side keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. Al Jalaa will play against Al Wathba (#10) in Homs in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Al Hurriyeh's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Aleppo Al Ittihad.
The game with biggest result difference took place in Damascus. Local Al Jaish (13-4) outscored 5th ranked Al Karameh (10-5) 86-65 on Tuesday night.
