Al Ittihad - Al Hurriyeh 80-61 The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Al Ittihad as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Al Ittihad smashed 8th ranked Al Hurriyeh in Aleppo 80-61. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Al Jaish. Al Hurriyeh lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with seven games lost. Al Hurriyeh will play next round against strong Al Karameh trying to get back on the winning streak. Al Ittihad will try to continue on its current victory against eleventh ranked Al Wathba in Homs. Al Jaish - Al Hurriyeh 96-69 No shocking result in a game when second ranked Al Jaish (8-1) crushed 8th ranked Al Hurriyeh (3-7) in Damascus 96-69 on Thursday. Al Jaish keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Al Ittihad. Al Hurriyeh lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with seven games lost. Al Jaish will meet Al Jalaa (#4) in the next round. Al Hurriyeh will play against Al Karameh (#3) and hope to secure a win. Al Ittihad - Al Taleiah 116-46 Second ranked Al Ittihad blasted bottom-ranked Al Taleiah (0-8) in Aleppo 116-46 on Friday evening. Al Taleiah is still unable to win any game. Defending champion (8-1) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Al Jaish. Al Taleiah at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. Al Ittihad will meet at home bottom-ranked Al Wathba (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al Taleiah will play against Tishreen and hopes to get finally their first victory. Al Karameh - Al Jalaa 75-68 Very important is a road loss of third ranked Al Jalaa (6-2) against fourth ranked Al Karameh (6-2) on Friday night. Visiting Al Jalaa was defeated by Al Karameh in a tough game in Homs 68-75. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Al Jalaa. Al Karameh have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Al Jalaa. Al Karameh will play against Al Hurriyeh (#8) in Aleppo in the next round where they are favorite. Al Jalaa will play at home against the league's second-placed Al Jaish (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals. Hutteen - Al Wahda 57-86 Rather expected game when 9th ranked Hutteen (2-7) was smashed by sixth ranked Al Wahda (5-3) in Lattakia 86-57 on Friday. Al Wahda maintains sixth position with 5-3 record. Loser Hutteen keeps the ninth place with seven games lost. Al Wahda will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hutteen will play against Al Nawaeer (#5) and hope to secure a win. |
