Al Jalaa inks Ruot Monyyong, ex Kwara Falcons

Al Jalaa Aleppo (SBL) agreed terms with 25-year old American forward Ruot Monyyong (210cm-95kg-1998, college: UALR). Monyyong is the second import player in the roster as Armenian Mahran Nerses signed here earlier.
He just played at Kwara Falcons in Nigerian DStv PBL. In 5 games just recently he had 7.6ppg, 6.6rpg, 1.6apg and 1.2bpg this season.
Two years ago he was drafted by Iowa Wolves (G-League) in first round (19th overall).
The former University of Arkansas at Little Rock star is in his second season in pro basketball.
He has played also professionally in Bulgaria, Cyprus and Lebanon (Champville).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Monyyong's team won Sun Belt Regular Season in 2020. He was also voted All-Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year back in 2020. Monyyong played also for Shelton State Community College for one year.
