SBL Round 8: Al Ittihad beat Al Karameh by two after a very close game

The most exciting game of round 8 in the SBL took place in Aleppo. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Al Karameh (3-2) to top-ranked Al Ittihad (4-0) 99-97 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Al Karameh. Al Ittihad have a solid four-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Al Karameh at the other side dropped to the seventh position with two games lost. Al Ittihad are again looking forward to face Al Karameh (#7) in Homs in the next round where they are favorite. Al Karameh will have a break next round.
Hutteen's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after six consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Al Hurriyeh (3-4) 81-60. Hutteen (1-6) left bottom position moving up to ninth place. Al Hurriyeh at the other side keeps the eighth position with four games lost. Hutteen will again play against higher ranked Al Hurriyeh (#8) in Aleppo in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Al Hurriyeh will have a break next round.
SBL top team - Al Jaish (6-0) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Al Taleiah (0-6) in Damascus 85-58. Undefeated Al Jaish have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Loser Al Taleiah still closes the standings with six games lost. Al Jaish will again meet at home Al Taleiah (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al Taleiah will have a break next round.

In the last game of round 8 Al Nawaeer smashed Al Wathba on the road 90-64.



Al Wathba - Al Nawaeer 64-90

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Al Nawaeer (4-1) crushed bottom-ranked Al Wathba (0-7) in Homs 90-64 on Friday. Al Nawaeer moved-up to third place. Loser Al Wathba still closes the standings with seven games lost. Al Nawaeer will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Al Wathba will play again against Al Nawaeer (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.

Al Jaish - Al Taleiah 85-58
