Chris Crawford (ex SLAC) is a newcomer at Al Wahda

Al Wahda Damascus (SBL) strengthened their roster with addition of 29-year old American 193cm guard Chris Crawford (college: Memphis). Crawford moved there from SLAC in Guinean D1 league where he played this season. In 5 games he recorded very impressive stats: 21.4ppg, 4.8rpg, 4.0apg and 1.6spg.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2014.
Crawford is a very experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America) in seven different countries. He has played previously professionally in France, Lebanon (Beirut Club, Homentmen and Louaize), Mexico (Caballeros de Culiacan), Tunisia (US Monastir, Ezzahra and Club Africain Tunis), NBA (Memphis Grizzlies), NBA G League (Iowa Wolves and Canton Charge) and The Basketball Tournament (Memphis State and Bluff City).
Crawford graduated from University of Memphis in 2014 and it is his eighth season in pro basketball.
