Roderick Camphor

Defending champion Al Karameh Homs (SBL) tabbed 30-year old American 193cm swingman Roderick Camphor (college: SWOSU). Camphor is the second foreign player in the roster as Algerian Touhami Ghezzoul signed here earlier to play starting the Final Four Stage of the Syrian Basketball League 2021-2022

He moved there from Astoria in Polish EBL league where he played this season. In 21 games he averaged 14.1ppg, 2.2rpg and 4.8apg.

He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in eight different countries playing on three different continents. He is familiar with European, African and of course North American leagues.

Camphor has played previously professionally also in Belgium (Leuven Bears), Germany (Leverkusen and Hamburg Towers), Greece (Kymis), Hungary (Duna Aszfalt), Lithuania (Nevezis), Slovenia (Krka), Tunisia (US Monastir) and Poland (Spojnia, PGE Turow and HydroTruck).

He graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 2014 and it is his eighth season in pro basketball.
