Hutteen - Al Taleiah 63-73 There was no surprise in Lattakia where 12th ranked Hutteen (2-18) was defeated by ninth ranked Al Taleiah (5-15) 73-63. Al Taleiah maintains ninth position with 5-15 record. Hutteen at the other side stay dead last with 18 lost games. Al Taleiah will play against Al Faiha (#11) in the next round. Hutteen will play against the league's leader Al Wahda and will have a slim chance for a victory. Al Thawra - Al Ittihad 56-104 The game with biggest result difference took place in Damascus. Local Al Thawra (3-17) was outscored by second ranked Al Ittihad (16-2) 104-56. Al Ittihad have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 16-2 record having just two points less than leader Al Wahda. Al Thawra at the other side keeps the tenth place with 17 games lost. Al Ittihad will play against Al Karameh (#4) in Homs in the next round. Al Thawra will play on the road against Al Nawaeer (#7) in Hama and hopes to get back on the winning track. Al Wathba - Al Hurriyeh 84-71 The game between closely ranked teams ended with seventh ranked Al Wathba's (11-5) home victory over 8th ranked Al Hurriyeh (6-13) 84-71. Al Wathba have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place. Al Hurriyeh at the other side keeps the eighth position with 13 games lost. Al Nawaeer - Al Wahda 57-74 Undefeated leader Al Wahda delivered the eighteenth consecutive win on Saturday night. This time they beat 6th ranked Al Nawaeer (11-9) 74-57 in Hama. Al Wahda (18-0) have an impressive 18-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 18 victories in a row. Al Nawaeer at the other side dropped to the seventh place with nine games lost. Al Wahda are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Hutteen (#12) in Lattakia in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Al Nawaeer will play at home against Al Thawra (#10) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win. |
