Division I Round 15: Derby game ends with Al Jalaa's defeat of Al Hurriyeh

The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Aleppo: Al Jalaa (#5) and Al Hurriyeh (#8). Al Jalaa (8-3) crushed visiting Al Hurriyeh (3-7) by 18 points 101-83. Al Jalaa have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Al Hurriyeh at the other side dropped to the ninth position with seven games lost.
An interesting game for Al Ittihad (10-2) which played road game in Damascus against 3rd placed Al Jaish (7-4). Second ranked Al Ittihad had an easy win 74-56. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Al Jaish. Al Ittihad have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 10-2 record having six points less than leader Al Wahda. Al Jaish at the other side dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Al Wathba.
An interesting game was also surprising road defeat of 4th ranked Al Wathba in a game in Hama versus Al Nawaeer (#7) 72-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Al Wathba. Al Nawaeer have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain seventh place with 5-6 record. Loser Al Wathba dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Al Jaish.

There were no big surprises in other games of round 15: Al Taleiah beat Al Thawra on the road 73-68. Al Wahda destroyed Al Faiha on its own court 111-35. Bottom-ranked Hutteen was outscored by Al Karameh in Homs 80-50.



Al Nawaeer - Al Wathba 72-66

An interesting game was also surprising road defeat of 4th ranked Al Wathba in a game in Hama versus Al Nawaeer (#7) 72-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Al Wathba. Al Nawaeer have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain seventh place with 5-6 record. Loser Al Wathba dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. They share it with Al Jaish.

Al Thawra - Al Taleiah 68-73

The game between closely ranked teams ended with ninth ranked Al Taleiah's (4-8) road victory over 10th ranked Al Thawra (1-10) in Damascus 73-68 on Thursday. Al Taleiah moved-up to eighth place. Al Thawra lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Al Faiha.

Al Wahda - Al Faiha 111-35

Very expected game when 11th ranked Al Faiha (1-10) was smashed by leader Al Wahda (14-0) in Damascus 111-35 on Thursday. Al Wahda have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 14-0 record. Al Faiha lost seventh consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Al Thawra.
