Division I Round 13: Al Karameh lose to Al Nawaeer

The game between third ranked Al Karameh (6-3) and ninth ranked Al Nawaeer (3-6) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Undefeated Al Wahda have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain first place with 12-0 record. Al Hurriyeh at the other side keeps the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with Al Nawaeer. Al Wahda's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Damascus to the arena Al Thawra.
The game between second ranked Al Ittihad (8-2) and 11th ranked Al Faiha (1-8) in Aleppo on Friday ended with biggest points difference. Al Ittihad outscored guests from 94-42. Al Ittihad maintains second place with 8-2 record having six points less than leader Al Wahda. Al Faiha lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Al Thawra. Al Ittihad will meet bottom-ranked Hutteen (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Al Faiha will play against Al Nawaeer and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Other games in round 13 were not that significant. Bottom-ranked Hutteen was smashed by Al Jaish on the road 82-52. Al Wathba destroyed Al Taleiah on its own court 83-61. Al Jalaa outscored Al Thawra in Aleppo 74-55.
